Libyan Desert Glass Pendant
1.41g without the wire, comes with a black necklace cord
About 27.5 million years ago, a massive asteroid impacted the Great Sand Sea desert (Gilf Kebir, Egypt). The gigantic event left behind Libyan Desert Glass or Libyan Gold Tektites. Libyan Gold Tektites are a molten impact Silicon projectile rock - a Tektite. The color is foggy white, sometimes greenish or beautiful yellow to golden yellow (it depends on the purity of Silicon, fused material, and other inclusions). Quality specimens (highly purified Silicon) capture the light inside in gold or golden white. The outer texture is gently smooth (polished by wind and sand) with occasional small holes and depressions, sometimes resembling the lunar surface. It is the purest form of Tektite, with the highest Silicon content (98%). Its origin (there are endless debates about the impact), highest purity, and 120 km long and 20 km wide strewnfield make it one of the greatest mysteries of today's science.

This Star Stone was created out of the highest light (Asteroid impact) and influences mainly the third and fourth energy centers of consciousness. Egyptian pharaohs and priests wore the stones in the heart region because their vibration complies with these two energy centers. In one of Tutankhamun's (1332–1323 BC) royal necklaces, it is the central stone carved in a scarab, which symbolizes resurrection and rebirth. It is the most beautiful, shiny, and evident precious stone in his royal collection. (In the oldest found jewelry on earth, we can see how earth Minerals in time start to lose their natural beauty; once taken out of the ground, they are slowly dying - which is not the case with the Tektites). A recent discovery showed that the eyes of queen Nefertiti's world-famous statue (1370 - 1330 BC) are made out of Libyan Gold Tektite.
